practical showcases thanks to klemetric
the “weilimdorfer heimatkreis e.v.” not only holds talks on historical subjects and conducts guided walks around the traditional Swabian town of weilimdorf. it also holds varying exhibitions in the old vicarage of this suburb of stuttgart.
until last year, many of the exhibits in the “heimatstube” of the old vicarage stood in the middle of the room. the presentation options have now been expanded effectively using glass panels with a height of 1.80 m and the klemetric mini variable-angle universal connectors. with them contained and protected in this way, it is said, it is now possible to combine small exhibits with large ones or to arrange whole compositions under glass. “in this way, even extremely small museums can acquire large showcases at a reasonable price“, erika porten from the “weilimdorfer heimatkreis” says happily.
the practical showcases are at present being used for the exhibition “zur erinnerung – lebensstationen in privaten zeugnissen“. until 31 march, written documents, photographs, a collection of hair decorations and many other memorabilia are on show in the “heimatstube”.
